Con la prima riunione del Consiglio Comunale del 26 giugno si è anche costituito il nuovo gruppo consigliare del PdL. Il capogruppo è Gilberto Montemaggi, candidato sindaco del PdL. Ne fanno parte Lorenzo Rinaldi, Tiziana Berardi e Luca Lucarelli.
Nel corso del Consiglio il Sindaco Gori ha nominato la nuova Giunta formata da quattro assessori, tre uscenti con l'unica novità di Merciari ai LAvori Pubblici che entra in quota Rifondazione Comunista. Se il buon giorno si vede dal mattino non è stato di certo un buon inizio per questa amministrazione visto che il Sindaco Gori ha deciso di non nominare il quinto assessore precisando che lo farà a tempo debito. Forse tatticismo o problemi interni alla coalizione ma certamente non una bella figura per un'amministrazione che parte "zoppa". Forse sarebbe stata opportuno a quael punto non nominare il quinto assessore per fare risparmiare le casse comunali anzichè cercare la quadratura del cerchio con il bilancino dei posti.
